| Details: | Pomona College operates several general purpose computer labs. A valid Pomona username and password are required to use any of the computers in the computer labs. From these computers, students can not only use a variety of applications, but also access their network userspace and print to the printers in the labs.

Specific Information on individual Pomona College Labs
ITS Auxiliary Lab
Location
The lab is located in the South Wing of the Seeley-Mudd Science Library on College Ave., just North of the Pomona Gates. There is a small blue sign labeled 'Duplicating Services' just outside the building. A Pomona ID is required to swipe into the lab. A Pomona username and password is also required to use any of the computers.
When is the lab open?
The lab is open 24/7 with a Pomona Student ID. You will need a valid Pomona username and password to log onto any of the computers.
Resources
The lab contains 10 Windows desktop computers.
Printing
ITS Auxiliary Lab one HP LaserJet 5si [black toner only]. Students can print to the ITS Auxiliary Lab printer from a computer in the lab or from their own dorm room. All print jobs will be charged to that student's print quota. Instructions on printing to the ITS Auxiliary Lab printer from your dorm room (or anywhere else) can be found here. The printer available is named SGM100-HP5SI.
Lyon Computer Lab
Location
The Lyon Computer Lab is located on the second floor of the first-year housing dorm Lyon. Lyon is about half a block south-east of the intersection of Bonita and College Ave., directly south of Harwood. Stairs are located just outside the eastern-most entrance to the first floor.
When is the lab open?
The Lyon lab is accessible 24/7, though a Pomona ID is required to swipe into the lab. A Pomona username and password is also required to use any of the computers.

The lab contains 3 Macintosh desktop computers and 5 Windows computers.
Printing
Lyon Computer Lab has one HP LaserJet 9000 [black toner only] and one HP LaserJet 4600 [color]. Students can print to the Lyon Computer Lab printers from a computer in the lab or from their own dorm room. All print jobs will be charged to that student's print quota. Instructions on printing to the Lyon Computer Lab printer from your dorm room (or anywhere else) can be found here. The printers available are is named LYON-HP9000 and LYON-HP4600.
Oldenborg North Computer Lab
Location
The Oldenborg North Lab is located on the first floor of the Oldenborg dorm. It is on the north end of the main front hall.
When is the lab open?
Oldenborg North Computer Lab is accessible 24/7, though a Pomona ID is required to swipe into the lab. A Pomona username and password is also required to use any of the computers.

The Oldenborg South Computer Lab has 2 Windows computers.
Printing
Oldenborg South Computer has two HP LaserJet 8100 [black toner only]. Students can print to the Oldenborg south printer from a computer in the lab or from their own dorm room. All print jobs will be charged to that student's print quota. Instructions on printing to the Oldenborg south printer from your dorm room (or anywhere else) can be found here. The printer is named OLDB-HP8100.
Andrew Computer Lab
Location
The Andrew computer lab is located on the 2nd floor of Andrew room 257. Andrew is the small building attached to the east end of Millikan. A Pomona username and password is also required to use any of the computers.
When is the lab open?
The lab is open whenever you can get into the building. The outer doors to Andrew/Millikan lock at 5 p.m. After 5 p.m., you must swipe your Pomona ID through one of the card readers outside Andrew to gain access to the building.
Resources
The Andrew Computer Lab has 15 Windows desktop computers. As these machines are used by the Math department, they have some specialty software.
Printing
There is a printer for the Andrew Lab, but it is located outside of the actual lab in the small lounge area with couches right outside. The printer is called POM-MATHCS-LASER1 and should already be installed on all the computers in the lab.
Hahn Computer Lab
Location
The Hahn Computer Lab is located on the second floor of Hahn in the middle of the building. It is accessible from the main walkway on the east side of the second floor.
When is the lab open?
During the school year, the lab is open Monday to Friday from 8AM to 5PM. During winter and summer breaks, the lab is open Monday to Friday from 8AM to 4:30PM.
Resources
The lab contains a large classroom with 26 Windows desktop computers. There are also 7 Windows desktop computers in a smaller room adjacent to the classroom. When the classroom is in use by a class, the are only available to the students of the class.
Printing
Hahn Computer Lab has two HP LaserJet 8150s [black toner only] and one HP LaserJet 4600 [color]. Students can print to the Hahn Computer Lab printer from a computer in the lab or from their own dorm room. All print jobs will be charged to that student's print quota. Instructions on printing to the Hahn Computer Lab printer from your dorm room (or anywhere else) can be found here. The printers available are is named HAHN-HP8150 and HAHN-HP4600.
